As CEO and owner of multiple businesses in the valley, I am officially done with doing any business inside the City of Campbell. The level of incompetence of the council members and planning department is at the level of a high school student council. Its truly laughable and a major overhaul is needed. Their slow and unprogressive ways has held our community back. While San Jose and neighbouring city's have locked in major deals with Apple, Google & Samsung, our lazy City Hall is operating at the rate of a junior high. Its no wonder why companies quickly shy away with anything related to Campbell. Look at what they did to the Grower's Bank building in downtown. Its been vacant since 2008! After 7 years of useless back and forth town hall meetings, the pathetic planning department still can't makeup its mind. I would definitely start looking at who doesn't need to be on payroll.
Downtown Campbell has plateaued and we all know why. Its nice to have bars and restaurants, but when that's all that is allowed, things get old. Its pathetic that they refuse to allow a single nightclub, yet allow endless bars/restaurants, seems like a contradiction. People actually do want more than just alcohol and food. Instead of going against residence's wishes regarding the Cambrian Plaza fiasco, how about giving them what they actually want ---A nightclub and few strip clubs :)
